Job Description and Requirements
SAR is looking for an enthusiastic Performance and Incident Controller to be responsible for coordinating all operations and incidents that take place the railway track. In addition, works as part of a team to ensure passenger and freight trains run safely and maintain the performance of the train services as well as incident management.
The Performance and Incident Controller is responsible for safe operation of the trains and track access, and work closely to the train controllers and provide much assistance and to report any incident to the Chief Train Controller.
An ideal candidate will have strong communication skills as this job requires to communicate within internal stakeholders i.e. Operations Control Center, Roling Stock Management, Infrastructure Maintenance, Mineral & Cargo and Passenger Operation, and Network Planning & Management.
Key Accountabilities
Coordinate and act as lead for train controllers requiring advice on regulating decisions and service recovery.
Manage timetable changes and work closely with PBU and M&C;representative.
Record events of train running activates (SON).
Ensure Safety procedures are maintained and understood and review of Safety critical documentation.
Maintain and manage of early/late running freight.
Incident Management interface between Train Controller and Chief, and gather details of the incident, I including the extent to which the incident affects the railway infrastructure.
Make contact with the response team on site at the times milestones are to be achieved, capture reasons if milestones are not achieved and communicate information immediately to relevant stakeholders.
Coordinate train crews and make arrangements for additional resources and escalate the incident as necessary.
Coordinates activities with those of other operations and maintenance staff to minimize service interruptions; provides other departments and divisions with technical information relating to the train control operations. [رابط مخفي]
