Vacancy No Section/Unit: Programmes/Health and Nutrition Grade Level: GB5 Supervisor: Area Manager No. of Post: 1 Duty Station: El Fula، West Kordofan Duration: Nine (9) Months Closing Date: 16 Nov 2026 Background: Job Summary The Program Manager will lead the overall implementation of the integrated health، nutrition، and WASH project in West Kordofan.

will include the planning، management، supervision، and monitoring activities in targeted health facilities and catchment areas

The role also requires management of the budget to ensure that there is neither under nor overspending of the grant

He/she will ensure all aspects of the program are completed in timely and professional manner and in accordance with Concern and MoH policies and procedures

This position will work ly with the Area Coordinator، Area Manager and Health and Nutrition Coordinator in ensuring availability and access to high-quality health، nutrition، and WASH service delivery in the project locations

Programme Development and Implementation Support

Participate actively in program development through continuous monitoring and analysis of the humanitarian context and emerging needs، contributing to concept and proposal development to expand health and nutrition program coverage and reach

Overall management of health and nutrition program، ensuring efficient program planning، timely implementation of planned activities as per the detailed implementation plan، and utilization of resources in compliance with donor approved proposal and budget

Maintain a strong presence in the projects sites to oversee the implementation of activities، providing on-site supportive supervision to frontline healthcare workers and ensuring adherence to standard procedures and national guidelines and protocols

Ensure the delivery of comprehensive، quality primary health care services across the life course، integrating preventive، promotive، curative، rehabilitative، and referral services in line with national guidelines and standards

Work with Technical Advisor � clinical services to identify barriers، develop، and monitor actionable improvement plans to address identified gaps and enhance health outcomes

Support continuous quality improvement of health and nutrition services through regular supportive supervision and monitoring against established standards of care

Working with health facility staff، LHA، and SMoH، implement corrective actions to address identified gaps and improve service delivery

Ensure integration of CMAM، IYCF، and BEmONC services within primary health care، in line with national guidelines and standards

Prepare and ensure timely submission of high-quality program/donor narrative reports and documentation related to programme progress، including quarterly، bi-annual، and annual reports، and lessons learnt as required

Budget Management Contribute to budget preparations during proposal development

Overall budget management for health and nutrition program، ensuring effective financial planning and utilization in compliance with approved donor budget، and Concern financial policies and procedures

Review and approve expenditures in accordance with the delegation of authority thresholds

Review donor management account and provide timely feedback to finance for any corrective action

Monitor and track expenditure through budget variance analysis and ensuring that there is not over or underspending

Based on budget review، also ensure the program changes are planned or shared in advance with the line manager

Monitoring، Evaluation and Learning Lead in regular monitoring of health and nutrition program in West Kordofan

Responsible for collection، collation، and dissemination of data from Concern supported health facilities

Contribute to updating of program database and maintenance of statistical database of project figures and compile information to produce monthly narrative reports

Compile information from project sites and prepare weekly and monthly reports highlighting project achievements، challenges، and plans and share them regularly and timely with line manager

Lead on periodic project reviews to guide adaptive management and improve programme quality

Facilitate learning، documentation، and sharing working in collaboration with MEAL team

Consolidate leave plan for the direct reports، including the arrangement for coverage where necessary to ensure continuity in project implementation

Take lead in the planning and execution of training programs for Concern program staff and ensure capacity is built to perform their roles appropriately

Human Resources Management Participate in recruitment and onboarding process for health and nutrition staff / WaSH staff relevant to the project

Development of clear performance objectives، conduct performance development reviews (PDR) for direct report، and recommend corrective action as and when required

Coordination and Representation Networking and maintaining positive relationships with relevant coordination bodies and stakeholders such as SMoH، WHO، WFP، UNICEF and other nongovernmental organizations in West Kordofan

Participate in the relevant coordination mechanisms at state and locality level and represent Concern in technical meetings as needed

Participate and contribute to inter-sectoral and inter-agency field assessments by SMoH، UN agencies، and other stakeholders associated with the implementation of health and nutrition programs، including promotion of integrated programming in ways that increase overall impact of health and nutrition interventions at facility and community level

Accountability Upholding and promoting Concern�s values، including workplace equality، diversity، and inclusion values

Ensure the highest standards of accountability through ensuring good communication and information sharing within and outside the programme and enabling staff، beneficiaries، and other stakeholders� participation

Support relevant colleagues to ensure that the Feedback، Complaints and Response Mechanism (FCRM) is functional and accessible، that feedback and complaints are welcomed and addressed

Comply with Concern�s policies and procedures (P4، Safeguarding، finance، logistics، HR، security management، etc.)

Participate and contribute as necessary towards Concern�s emergency response as and when required

Undertake additional

as assigned، including administrative and planning functions، and adapt to changing programme needs and priorities in response to the evolving operational and humanitarian context

At least three years of professional experience and demonstrable experience in similar role in planning and management of health and nutrition projects preferably with NGOs

Experience in needs assessments، surveillance، surveys، and information management

Ability to represent، liaise، and negotiate at various levels

Ability to communicate in English and Arabic and write reports in English is required

Knowledge and experience in development and humanitarian work

Knowledge of policies and guidelines about the health and nutrition sectors in Sudan

Willingness to travel regularly to project locations and operate effectively in diverse and challenging field environments
