Overview

We are seeking a Senior Strategy & Market Consultant to join our Downstream strategy group The Downstream strategy group is responsible for managing Downstream Strategy Business Unit Overarching strategy formulation and oversee its execution via investment plan and business plan Furthermore، Downstream is responsible to manage the strategy business unit sustainability strategy formulation and Downstream decarbonization program Your primary role is to independently initiate research on a wide variety of topics relevant to the Company’s competitive advantage in the Downstream business، and will prepare research and analyses as required by Downstream Executive Management، the Downstream Investment & Strategy Committee، or other Corporate Committees This will include analysis of developments in technology، geopolitics، sustainability and other relevant regulations، Saudi Arabia’s government plans، and the Downstream industry in general As the successful candidate you will be required to perform the following: Serve as the Company’s foremost expert in Downstream strategy Act as the “Corporate Advisor” for Downstream business-related matters، and provide insight to Downstream Finance، Strategy & Planning function، the Downstream President، and other members of Downstream Executive Management Prepare research and analysis for consumption by Downstream Executive Management، the Downstream Investment & Strategy Committee، or other Corporate Committees Collaborate in a group of strategists responsible for articulating the overall Downstream Strategy for the Company، as well as the formulation of energy outlook scenarios Collaborate in a group of strategists and planners responsible for development of the Downstream’s longer-term strategic plans، including capital/resource allocation plans Build strong relationship with subject matter experts across the Company، as well from think tanks and other industry advisory bodies، in order to keep abreast of key developments in the Downstream business globally، as well as other arenas that could impact the Saudi Aramco Downstream’s competitive performance This includes analysis of developments in technology، geopolitics، sustainability and other relevant regulations، Saudi Arabia’s government plans، and the Downstream industry in general Independently initiate research on wide-ranging topics that look into long-term scenarios that might impact the Company’s competitive advantage in the Downstream business Prepare research and special studies and analyses as required، for the Strategic Council and other Corporate Committees Lead، and/or collaborate in، strategic projects to execute decisions resulting from strategic analyses Minimum As the successful candidate you will have: A Master’s degree in Engineering، Economics، Business Administration، Accounting، Financial Management or related fields A minimum of 15 years of experience in a combination of refining، chemicals، trading and retail marketing business، with an international integrated Downstream company، or global energy think tank/consulting firm Of which at least 5 years were in strategy formulation، scenario planning، and/or strategic planning Demonstrable experience of change management experience At Aramco، our people work on truly world-scale projects، supported by investment in capital and technology that is second to none And because، as a global energy company، we are faced with addressing some of the world’s biggest technical، logistical and environmental challenges، we invest heavily in talent development We have a proud history of educating and training our workforce over many decades Employees at all levels are encouraged to improve their sector-specific knowledge and competencies through our workforce development programs – one of the largest in the world Country/Region: SA
