Purpose/Objectives
Under the guidance of the Center Manager and Activity Coordinator and the guidance Reporting Officer,
the Data Entry officer will be responsible to enter data from various source documents into the computer
system for storage, processing and data management purposes. The Data Entry Officer will ensure the
quality of the data collected.





Responsibilities/duties:

● Prepare, compile and sort documents for data entry
● Check source documents for accuracy
● Verify data and correct data where necessary
● Obtain further information for incomplete documents
● Update data and delete unnecessary files
● Combine and rearrange data from source documents where required
● Enter data from source documents into prescribed computer database, files and forms
● Transcribe information into required electronic format
● Scan documents into document management systems or databases
● Check completed work for accuracy
● Store completed documents in designated locations
● Respond to requests for information and access relevant files
● Comply with data integrity and security policies
● Maintain own office equipment and stationery supplies
● Ensure that data collection and storage respect data protection protocols and confidentiality principle
● S/he will perform any other tasks requested by the Supervisor.





Qualification/level requirements
Minimum requirements


● Hold an BA in social sciences or related fields
● At least 1 year of professional experience working in data processing and/or data management
● Familiarity with protection principles, standards and procedures, terminology
● Native Arabic – EXCELLENT written and spoken English
● Good interpersonal skills
● Excellent computer skills (proven computer literacy), especially in excel
● Knowledge of KOBO and ODK programs for smart tool data collection would be as asset
